It was at a young age that Kristin developed a fascination with food and the dining experience. From a Catalan hill town, the aroma of wood oven roasted rosemary lamb and potatoes are forever ingrained in her senses. That nourishing Sunday meal tradition has set the foundation for Kristin's artful skill in gathering people around the table.
Kristin has combined her passion for food, events, and travel into a distinct cooking and teaching philosophy that infuses her cuisine and classes. It was during her time in Italy at the ALMA Scuola di Cucina in Parma that she embraced a standard of quality ingredients and simple, rustic dishes prepared with amore. This mindful, loving approach to cooking was further reinforced during her holistic path to wellness and through 10+ years of yoga practice, meditation and personal retreats.
Kristin has abandoned precision in the kitchen in favor of the sensory experience used when handling pure, seasonally driven ingredients. She was once referred to as an "Improvisational Culinary Artist" and the name has since stuck. Her clients share similar ideals of building relationships with each other, the community and the environment. Kristin holds a BA from Williams College and now calls Ashland, OR, home.
